We can conclude that they would invite further scrutiny into their lives, dealings, or taxes, and were going to "bomb-out" in front of the Senate committee, anyway. A phenomenon that repeats with such an alarming frequency surely deserves a descriptive word. What do you call an Obaminee that withdraws prior to confirmation?
